I looove Original's pizza. The first time I'd ever eaten their pizza was in high school. Rather than serving Pizza Hut in the cafeteria, they served Original instead and let me say that I was stoked about the change, not that I don't love Pizza Hut, but I prefer Original. The pizzas are delicious and huge, the service is nice. I'd have to say Original Pizza is my all-time favorite pizza parlor.

Grabbed a slice for the first time ever on Friday crust was fabulous but the sauce left me wanting more, something with flavor and life something Italian. Quick friendly service, reasonable prices, & generous slices. Also Pepsi from the fountain tasted off maybe maintain the fountain more frequently.

The cheese pizza is amazing! The veggie was bland but not bad. The crust was perfect!! I would recommend take-out! It's so hot and cramped inside. Will be going back!

Disgusting. Not good pizza. Place was dirty. Do not eat here and except that's it's authentic. Order Pizza Hut and you'd be better off.

I drive through Blue Springs all the time, but never stopped. I've only eaten at Original Pizza in Independence Center. I've always enjoyed the pizza from Original Pizza there. So I decided to stop at the freestanding location. They had vegetarian, and Hawaiian, and pepperoni, cheese, and sausage/pepperoni and supreme. They also had calzones. For $6.50 you can get 2 slices of pizza, which are huge, and a drink. The crust is good and kind of sweet, which I like. The flavor of the cheese with thee Parmesan, mozerella and provolone is evident. There's enough toppings to please, and I believe for the price, the pizza is great. I didn't have a calzone, but it was tempting. What i noticed is, it's not a greasy pizza. Original Pizza is better than the Pizza Hut on Highway 7. Give it a try.

THIS PLACE IS THE BEST PIZZA IN KC. Delicious pizza. My family and I have been coming here for years, since we moved here from the East coast. Their pizza is dependable and consistent. You always know what you will get when you order a pizza. You will really be doing yourself a disservice if you order from one of those horrible chain restaurants instead of hopping on over to Original Pizza.

by far the best pizza i've ever had outside of new jersey or new york. it really reminds me of home and the 'one of a kind' type of pizza places we have there. the staff is always very nice. the food is always great. it's also SO nice to see an italian restaraunt around here that's actually owned and run by an italian. the only thing that could make original pizza better? CANNOLIS ha ha Sempre Sicilia

What really bothers me about pizza reviews is when people call a big slice of pizza, "New York Pizza." Original Pizza is NOT New York-style pizza. NY Pizza is very thin, OP was not. When I think of NY Pizza, I think cheesy melty cheese on a large foldable-slice that you have to eat in big chomps. Not so here. 1. The cheese was rubbery 2. Not enough sauce 3. Canned Mushrooms... please! The only decent thing about the food was the salad and that's not that hard to mess up especially when you are telling the guy what to put on it. Mr. C and I were the only customers in this "revamped" Dairy Queen. Revamped is an overstatement really because it still has the crap-tastic fast food joint flourescent lights and you order your pizza from the counter. This place might as well be in the mall. $6.50 for two slices and a drink is a good cheap price, and you definitely get what you pay for: okay, cheap pizza. My review: Food: Rubber pizza=blah Service: Unenthusiastic and uninvolved. Would I go back? I'd rather go to D'Bronx or even better? Pizza Hut!!!

Original Pizza is one of only two places I am aware of that you can get GOOD New York/New Jersey style pizza in the KC area. We still miss the one at Metro North that closed down in Jan, 2010 but this one is just as good. Come here for a refreshing change from D'Bronx or if you are in the area. The pizza is actually slightly better and the staff is always friendly.

Same great food as all of the other locations in the metro. I do have to knock a star down since this particular location just seems to always be overcrowded and claustrophobic almost for my personal taste. Just about anybody trying to set up shop in a old Dairy Queen is going to fail at amenities, but the food as mentioned, still rocks.

Since I moved to Missouri I had been looking for a place that had decent pizza. I don't mean pizza hut or dominoes. Real NY style pizza. This place hits the mark!! Great prices, good food, and friendly service is why I keep coming back.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
